Barcelona have been handed a boost with news that Dani Olmo is closing in on a return from injury and could feature in the second leg of their Champions League tie with Borussia Dortmund.
Olmo has been ruled out with an adductor injury, with Barca stating he would miss the next three weeks of action for the team.
However, Catalunya Radio say that Barca are hoping Olmo could return against Leganes next week and then be available for the second leg of the Dortmund tie.
Olmo is said to be progressing well currently, meaning he could get minutes off the bench against Leganes and then feature in Germany.
There’s even a suggestion that Olmo could be available for the first leg on Wednesday, although that seems unlikely, particularly given his injury record this season.
Olmo will be eager to get back to work with Barcelona as we head into the business end of the season and should be feeling a lot happier now his registration status has been resolved.
